ALKwithHeidi L.L.C. is a Virtual Mindset Coach and Author
I've been in business for a little over three years, and during that time, I created a short PDF workbook to empower anyone interested in improving their self-confidence through Self Talk. I'm 59 years old and freelance from my home in Ohio. I'm the perfect girl for Confidence Coaching because I know firsthand how self-confidence can change your life. I was once highly insecure and lived a great deal of my life in a shell. During my Pre-Teen years, I was forced to see a psychologist to address a severe issue with extreme shyness. As an adult, I experienced self-inflicted anxiety attacks and became a recluse. I got fed up with watching life pass me by. I dug into why I was so shy and lacked the confidence to succeed. I prayed and got serious about my Bible studies. Shortly after, I discovered my Spiritual Gift of Exhortation, and my life improved. I knew God would make way for me to use this gift to help others in the same boat. So, in addition to my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, I earned my Certifications in Confidence Coaching and REBT Mindset Life Coaching as well as a Certification in Mindfulness, Nutrition, and Weight Loss Psychology. I feel incredibly blessed to have a career encompassing my spiritual gifts, education, and life experiences. I hope someday to host a syndicated radio segment, and folks around the globe will be able to tune into Talk with Heidi. I support youth and literacy. |

Simply stated, coaching is empowering people to change without telling them what to do. It involves deep listening and provocative questions in a goal-oriented relationship with a person who is internally motivated to make changes that are important to them. Typically, the person is in some sort of transition or on the verge of making a major change in their life, and often they are facing some sort of obstacle that is hindering them from moving forward. At the core of the coaching model are these: asking, listening, guiding, providing support, encouraging and accountability for actions taken to move forward in the face of obstacles.
